School fit
Is Science and Technology a fit?
- The program
- The Science and Technology program is a rigorous four-year STEM program for Grades 9 to 12 inside Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt. It is part of the National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools.
- Majors
- Students choose a major in spring of Grade 10. The ERHS documents page lists Biological Science, Computer Science, Engineering/Physics and Exploratory. PGCPS describes the strands as biochemistry, engineering/physics and computer science.
- Upperclass options
- Upperclassmen can pursue internships, dual enrollment and a research practicum that ends in a senior symposium.
- Senior year
- In spring of Grade 11 students pick a Senior Year Options Contract: a full or half-day schedule, with a research practicum or dual enrollment.
- Summer Bridge
- Summer Bridge is a three-week program for incoming 9th graders. All incoming students are expected to attend.
- Transportation
- PGCPS provides transportation for registered Science and Technology students.
