PGCPS has not published every fall 2027 date in one place. This page gives the pattern the school and PGCPS describe and points to where each date is posted.

PGCPS and the school describe the same rhythm every year. Confirm each exact date on the PGCPS applications page.
- Application window
- The application window for students outside PGCPS and current PGCPS 9th graders opens in August and closes in early October. PGCPS says the dates change each year, so check the PGCPS applications page for the exact window for fall 2027.
- PSAT 8/9 testing
- PGCPS 8th graders take the PSAT 8/9 at their own schools. Students outside PGCPS test at one of the three Science and Technology sites. The ERHS admissions page lists December for both groups, while some PGCPS pages say October for PGCPS 9th graders and non-PGCPS students. Confirm your test date with PGCPS before you plan around one.
- Decisions
- The PGCPS Testing Office sends decisions in early March. PGCPS says specialty program notifications can arrive between March and May.
- After decisions
- Eligible and waitlisted families are invited to a spring open house. Accepted and waitlisted students must complete an intent form.
